Client dinners, briefings and roundtablesLaw firms, banks, wealth managers, consultancies and professional bodies all host their clients, and AI is the subject those clients want to discuss. The evening works when the speaker is independent of the host’s own products and can say something the clients have not already heard from a vendor. I bring an argument about what AI is doing to judgement in the clients’ own organisations, as a chaired conversation that starts with the clients talking, with the host’s name on the invitation.
Rahim Hirji is available to speak on this subject, in person worldwide and online, for boards, executive teams, leadership offsites and conferences. He is a London-based keynote speaker specialising in AI and human judgement, and the author of SuperSkills (Kogan Page, 2026). He founded the skills platform EtonX, later acquired by Eton College, and led Quizlet’s international growth across more than 60 countries.

A feel for how I work with an audience before you put me in front of yours.
SuperSkills is endorsed by Karim Lakhani (Harvard Business School), Alnoor Bhimani (London School of Economics), David Rowan (founding editor, WIRED UK), Sherry Coutu CBE and ten others. Rahim has spoken to leadership teams at Google, Barclays, Kaplan, BPP University and Next 15. Published by Kogan Page, part of Hachette UK.
None of them is a talk. Each starts with discussion on one question set in the invitation, and I chair it from there.
The client dinner. Usually eight to fourteen clients, one question, three courses, the Chatham House Rule, and a note to the host afterwards. The format is set out at board dinners.
The breakfast. The same shape before the working day, in the firm’s own offices: a table of senior guests, one question, and a conversation that ends with something the table agrees.
The roundtable. Two to three hours with twelve to twenty senior guests, chaired under the Chatham House Rule and often followed by lunch.

A reason for clients to come, and to stay to the end.
A subject about the clients’ own organisations rather than the host’s services, so the invitation is worth accepting.
After a dinner or a roundtable, a short written note with nobody named, for the host to share with the people who attended.
The host’s own partners at the event, hearing what their clients are worried about.
Law firms with general counsel and boards. Banks and private banks with their business clients. Wealth managers and family offices. Consultancies and accountancy firms. Professional bodies and member networks.
Speak for an AI vendor selling to the guests. Endorse the host’s services from the stage. Name the clients who attended, before or after the evening.
Keynotes run 30 to 90 minutes, in person or virtual. A 30-minute main-stage version of each talk is available for conferences, and the full talk runs 45 to 60 minutes. The sector examples are chosen for each audience, around the same argument. All three, with the showreel, are at keynotes, and the programme copy is at the speaker pack.
Drift versus Design: why most organisations hand their judgement to AI without deciding to, and how to design your way through instead.
Most organisations are adopting AI by drift: a thousand reasonable decisions that add up to judgement nobody chose to give away. Rahim Hirji, author of SuperSkills, shows leaders which mode they are running, where AI sharpens judgement and where it weakens it, and hands them the controls.
We Are Superheroes: AI is the suit. The human decides.
AI makes everyone faster, stronger and more capable. It does not decide; people do. Through a family story across four generations and three continents, Rahim Hirji hands the audience the seven human skills that grow more valuable as the tools spread. It is a talk about people first and technology second.
WTH (What the Human): a live test of a leadership team's own judgement.
Most leadership teams have never seen their own judgement on AI tested. In three acts, Rahim Hirji shows a leadership team what AI is changing in how organisations run, then ends with a live test of the team's own judgement, live and unrehearsed. The answers are the team's own.
Chairs it. The dinner is a facilitated conversation that starts with discussion on one question, not a talk with food. The subject is what AI is doing to judgement in the clients’ own organisations, not the host’s services.
No. The talk is independent, and your clients hear it differently for that. You introduce the evening; I keep to the argument.
Not when the purpose is to sell AI to the guests. A firm hosting its own clients is a different evening, and the one this page describes.
Usually eight to fourteen for a dinner or a breakfast, and twelve to twenty for a roundtable, though all of them are flexible.
A chaired dinner, breakfast or roundtable is priced like a board session. Send the format, the guest list and the date and you will have a number within a working day. See what a keynote costs.
A personal reply within a working day, and a conversation before anything is proposed.

The dinner format in full is at board dinners. For a gala or association dinner that wants a speaker rather than a conversation, see after-dinner talks. The rest of the family: board dinners, leadership dinners, breakfasts, roundtables, fireside conversations, talks during or after dinner and client events. The parent page for all of this is AI keynote speaker. Browse every topic, audience and region, or take the speaker pack to whoever is running the day. Every talk so far is on the speaking record.
Not every brief is a talk. A board that needs to settle which decisions a machine may make wants a board briefing, a review or a standing advisor, and the five formats are set out side by side with what each one is for.
